Mission Statement

At Intrepid Animal Learning, we use only scientifically proven, positive reinforcement training methods to promote a healthy and positive relationship between animals and their guardians. Positive Reinforcement is proven effective, enjoyable, and ethical.

In contrast, we do not use punishment-based training methods as they can have serious risks and negative consequences. Aversives can lead to a breakdown in the human-animal relationship, mental and emotional damage to the animal, and also has a risk of a more fearful, anxious, or aggressive companion.

Our goal is to address the root cause of a behavior, so we can work towards lasting and effective behavior change rather than a quick fix to just suppress the behavior.

Inclusivity Statement

We believe that every pet and pet guardian is unique and deserves individual attention and tailored training programs that suit their specific needs and goals. We welcome pet guardians from all backgrounds and walks of life, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, neurodivergent status or socioeconomic status. Our goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where all pet guardians can feel comfortable and confident in their ability to train and bond with their animal companions.
